Biography
Edward Elric is the older of the two Elric brothers, although he is the shorter one.
Following the principals of equivalent exchange, he loses his leg and arm. What he
loses in height he makes up for in alchemy. Edward becomes the youngest state alchemist in history, a prodigal genius.
As all state alchemists, Ed is given the codename, Fullmetal alchemist, due to his automail arm and leg. In order to restore his original body along with his little brother, Al, he has to find the philosopher's stone.
